Recapping a day of impact: National AI Literacy Day
The second annual National AI Literacy Day brought together educators, community organizations, and AI industry leaders to raise a united voice for AI literacy as a national imperative in K-12 education.
aiEDU was proud to join our partners at Common Sense Media, the EDSAFE AI Alliance, and The Tech Interactive in organizing this year’s bicoastal keynote events in Washington and San Jose. Both cities featured panel discussions with speakers from education nonprofits and local school districts to give a clearer picture of what they’re seeing in the classroom and what they think needs to be done to better instill AI literacy in students.
An impact report from the event is now available here.
In it you’ll find:
Highlights from over 80 affiliate events nationwide, bringing AI literacy discussions to communities everywhere.

Along with our keynote events in DC and Silicon Valley, AI Literacy Day had 80+ additional events in cities across the country to further emphasize the importance of preparing K-12 students for the world they’ll meet in the future.
The AI Education Project is building a world where every student can live work, work and thrive in a world where AI is everywhere. AI literacy — a critical component of AI Readiness — helps ensure that students have the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to safely use and understand artificial intelligence while also being able to critically evaluate the implications, limitations, and ethical considerations of its use.
