aiEDU and ETS announce partnership for more effective AI education

aiEDU is partnering with ETS to make AI readiness education more effective.

ETS is best known for designing standardized tests that have been used around the world for decades, including the GRE and the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) as well as the Praxis tests to certify teachers in the U.S. That’s precisely the expertise we were looking for to evaluate AI education efforts, since effective assessment is needed to develop and fine-tune new curricula and training.

Our partnership with ETS will span three key collaborative areas:

  1. Research and measurement collaboration: ETS will design, pilot, and validate measures of AI competencies for students, educators, schools, and districts to support the implementation of aiEDU’s supplemental programs.

  2. Educator professional learning: Both of our organizations will support teachers’ AI literacy skill development and classroom implementation through district-tailored professional development offerings or solutions aligned to aiEDU’s AI Readiness Framework.

  3. Policy and systems engagement: ETS and aiEDU will collect evidence to contribute to policy conversations at state, district, and national levels while co-authoring white papers, participating in convenings, and supporting AI teacher certification.

Together, we will combine ETS’s expertise in academic assessment, measurement, and research with our own work in curriculum design and professional development for educators.
