aiEDU, The Rithm Project partner to infuse human connection into AI literacy through high school ELA curriculum
DENVER — The AI Education Project (aiEDU) and The Rithm Project are proud to announce a new partnership focused on advancing AI literacy and AI readiness and human connection in high school English Language Arts (ELA) classrooms.
This innovative collaboration will bring to life two new “ELA Snapshots” — curriculum experiences that can be revisited throughout the school year to deepen students’ exploration of human relationships in the age of artificial intelligence.
Through this partnership, The Rithm Project designed and developed two ELA curriculum snapshots grounded in the theme of Human Connection — using aiEDU’s established template for bringing AI literacy and AI readiness to the classroom.
The snapshots were piloted by high school teachers in the Spring and are now available to download as a free resource on aiEDU’s homepage, www.aiedu.org.
“We’re thrilled to collaborate with aiEDU on this important work,” said Michelle Culver, founder of The Rithm Project. “So much of the current AI conversation is dominated by tools and productivity. While that’s important, that often misses the social impact of AI. This partnership gives us a chance to put empathy, ethics and youth agency front-and-center — and help students think more deeply about how they relate to others in a rapidly changing world.”
Added Alex Kotran, co-founder and CEO of aiEDU: “By embedding storytelling and critical thinking into AI literacy efforts, we’re giving students the tools they need to understand both the technology—and themselves—in a world shaped by algorithms.”
The Snapshots will be hosted on aiEDU’s curriculum platform and distributed under a Creative Commons license to ensure free and equitable access for all educators. The Rithm Project retains creative ownership of the materials, and both organizations will collaborate on collecting feedback and continuously improving the resources through educator input.
Both organizations will co-host a professional learning offering for educators in Fall 2025, supporting classroom implementation and reflection. Teachers and school leaders can expect dynamic, relevant content that supports both academic standards and real-world relevance.
